Terms & Conditions · Effective from 1 August 2026 · Offered at MAAC Jayanagar (operated by RAOH VENTURES LLP) under the national MAAC × ASUS CLAP scheme
Important: Marketing that says Free Laptop (T&C) refers to this CLAP scheme. The laptop is not completely free. Students receive a ₹74,500 Laptop Support Voucher adjusted against a selected ASUS laptop from the curated CLAP list. If the laptop price is higher than ₹74,500, the student pays the balance.
1. What CLAP is
The MAAC x ASUS Career Laptop Advantage Program (CLAP) is a national enrolment benefit for students who join an eligible Career (CA) / CareerX (CA CX) program at a participating MAAC centre, complete admission formalities, and meet the fee and documentation conditions below.
- It is not a standalone giveaway, cash alternative, or gift available without enrolment in an eligible program.
- The benefit is a Laptop Support Voucher of ₹74,500, applied toward a curated ASUS laptop model under CLAP — not an unlimited free device of any specification.
- Where marketing on maacjayanagar.com says Free Laptop (T&C), these Terms are the binding disclosure for that claim at the Jayanagar centre.
2. Eligible courses (national CLAP list)
At MAAC Jayanagar, CLAP applies only to new enrolments in the following Career / CareerX programs (matching the national MAAC CLAP list):
- ADVFX Plus
- APDMC+
- AD3D Edge Plus
- AD3D Edge Neo
- IPVAD XR
- ADIDG Plus
Eligibility also requires: (a) completion of admission and registration at MAAC Jayanagar; (b) payment of the full course fee within 180 days from the date of first payment / registration (aligned with “6 months from registration” on the B.Voc laptop FAQ); (c) submission of required documents and any balance payable on the selected ASUS laptop; and (d) enrolment while CLAP is active for that program at this centre.
If local advertising or counselling mentions other course names, CLAP eligibility remains limited to the six programs above unless MAAC nationally updates the scheme and these Terms are revised accordingly. Always confirm in writing at admission.
3. Exclusions — short courses and non-eligible programs
CLAP / Free Laptop (T&C) does not apply to short-term, modular, or software-only intensives, including (without limitation):
- Gen AI for Creators and other Gen-AI short programs
- Maya Pro, Blender Pro, Cinema 4D Pro, and similar short certifications
- UI/UX Design Pro, Digital Filmmaking, DAFM, Video Production, Broadcast Plus, DGWA Plus, Compositing & Editing Plus, APGDI, D3D, VFX Plus, 3D Real-Time Plus, and other programs not listed in Section 2
- Workshops, trial classes, counselling visits, or any enrolment cancelled before CLAP processing conditions are met
Site banners that mention Free Laptop (T&C) refer only to the eligible Career programs in Section 2. Short-course or non-listed pages must not be read as including this benefit.
4. How the ₹74,500 voucher works
- Students receive a Laptop Support Voucher of ₹74,500, adjusted against the price of a selected ASUS laptop from the CLAP curated model list.
- If the selected ASUS laptop costs more than ₹74,500, the student pays the balance.
- If a listed model costs less than ₹74,500, unused voucher value is not paid out as cash, fee credit, or another product (unless the national scheme or admission agreement expressly states otherwise).
- Students cannot choose any ASUS laptop freely — only models curated under CLAP at the time of processing.
- Brand, model, and configuration may change with stock and ASUS / MAAC updates; an equivalent curated model may be offered if a listed SKU is unavailable.
5. Fee timeline — 180 days / 6 months
- To avail CLAP, the student must pay the complete course fee within 180 days from the date of first payment / registration (same substance as “within 6 months from registration” on the B.Voc microsite FAQ).
- EMI / loan-funded enrolments remain subject to this full-fee timeline for voucher processing; financing approval alone does not complete CLAP eligibility.
- Failure to complete full fee payment within 180 days may result in forfeiture of the Laptop Support Voucher as per national CLAP rules and the admission agreement.
6. When the laptop is processed and delivered
- Processing typically begins after: full course fee clearance, voucher activation, required documents, and payment of any laptop balance.
- Delivery is typically 3–6 weeks after processing conditions are met, subject to stock, logistics, and ASUS / partner lead times.
- MAAC Jayanagar will notify the student when the device is ready for collection or dispatch as arranged.
7. Non-transferable; no cash; centre lock-in
- The Laptop Support Voucher is non-transferable and has no cash value. It cannot be exchanged for cash, fee waiver, or another product.
- After opting into CLAP, the student cannot transfer to another MAAC centre for the purpose of retaining this voucher / benefit (centre lock-in as per national CLAP rules).
- Damage, loss, or theft after hand-over is the student’s responsibility (subject to manufacturer warranty / LADP benefits as applicable).
8. Warranty and LADP benefits
- Devices are covered under ASUS warranty terms applicable to the curated model — typically a 2-year warranty, with LADP / student benefits as stated on the national MAAC CLAP FAQ at the time of issuance.
- MAAC Jayanagar / RAOH VENTURES LLP is not the manufacturer. Warranty and technical support are provided by ASUS (and any stated LADP partner) under their terms.
- Proof of purchase / warranty documents (as applicable) will be shared at hand-over.
9. Documents, changes, and discontinuation
- Students must submit documents required by MAAC / ASUS for voucher processing (identity, admission, fee receipts, and any forms requested at counselling).
- MAAC may modify, suspend, or discontinue CLAP at any time for future enrolments. The version of these Terms linked at enrolment, together with the national scheme rules and the admission agreement, applies.
- Where national CLAP rules and these centre Terms differ on a point of detail, the national scheme + signed admission agreement prevail for voucher value, models, and processing milestones.
